Cradled between hills and rivers

General Information

Who we are...

Cradled between the Ottawa and Quyon rivers and the hills of the Gatineau Park, the Municipality of Pontiac is a unique area that deserves special attention. Its exceptional geographic location allows us to enjoy one of the warmest climates in the province.

Given the geography and the fact that we are a community focused mainly on farming, we are seeing new forms of market gardening, exotic products and even vineyards.

Neighbours of the City of Gatineau (Aylmer sector) and 20 minutes from downtown Ottawa, we are seeing growth in the number of residents who want to live a splendid rural lifestyle without losing access to urban amenities.

Formed by the merger of the former townships of South Onslow, North Onslow, Quyon and Eardley, our Municipality is on the verge of a major economic boom that will be powered by putting our strategic development into effect, seeking to develop our rural life, tourism, recreational and cultural attractions.
