Potable water

Be it that your water source comes from a surface well, a sand point or a drilled well, you can have your potable water tested for contamination of coliform bacteria.
The municipality provides access to the bottle used for sampling.  Please call us ahead of time and we will inform you of the fee for this test.  Instructions to be followed for sampling will be provided with the bottle as well.

It is your responsibility to return your water sample to the MicroB laboratory located at 67 Saint-Raymond Blvd, Gatineau (Hull) J8Y 1S3 and they will contact you with the results.

You may also have your water tested by the City of Gatineau laboratory (approximately $39 for a basic test (E. coli and total coliforms)). For this test, it is preferable that you pick up the sterile bottle from the laboratory:
